"More then enough time for some magic~" Unless it involved mirrors. That ind of magic trick would only end in panic.

“That’s what I like to hear!” Marlo offered a bright grin and rubbed his hands together, odd eyes skimming over the young woman, casually scanning for valuables he could nab whilst she was distracted. “How about a card trick?”

"Sounds good to me~" She replies, smiling. Out of habit, her hand drifted in the direction of the sword at her hip when his eyes scanned over her, though she doesn’t do much more then let it breeze past for now.

Tala stretches a little, glancing around to gauge where they had ended up to see if the area is familiar. The scent in the air is, in a way-more familiar then the air she was breathing back at the castle,at least.

"Where do you want to go to first?" he asked.

She jolts a little at the question, but grins, moving forward. “Follow me.” They’d ended up close to her childhood home-the one that she still technically owned, thanks to her ‘Aunt’ making sure that everything was set up if she ever needed to get out.

He followed her and kept lookout at the same time in case anyone decided to spy on or follow them.

She gives a quick sniff of the air without making it obvious as they approach, finding that there’s no unknown or suspicious scents in the air. As a result, she relaxes slightly, speeding up to a slight jog up the stairs to the front door.

Sorry I’m not active on here much….Tala’s being really quiet latey on me. /sigh

My character has been committed to an asylum. Send me ☤ for their reaction to yours visiting them.

tap. tap. tap… went Dean’s knuckles against the wall. he was agitated, angry, desperate - he had to get out somehow.

retreating a few steps, he turned around slowly, trying to discover a chink in the armour, a weak spot. nothing.

where were his friends when he needed them? had they all left him to die in here?

his anger bubbled, and overflowed, and the hunter threw his small, slanting bedside table across the room with a scream. it slammed against the wall, the already-decrepit legs breaking like twigs from the sheer force of Dean’s throw. the hunter took a few deep breaths before turning on his feet, realising he wasn’t alone. the sight surprised him - Tala, of all people.

they had been working a case together when Dean was caught. forcing Tala to run, he took the fall for her, blaming all their activities as his own doing. right now, he didn’t know how to feel at seeing his female companion standing at the door.

moments of unbearable silence passed, and Dean swallowed the huge lump in his throat. did she still care for him? it had been months since he was admitted into the asylum, and she hadn’t visited him. the hunter had spent months overcome with a feeling of betrayal.

"hey," he finally croaked, sounding strangely casual about the whole situation.

Tala flinches the slightest bit, but remains quiet.

She knows it’s partially her fault-knows it. But she doesn’t know how to prove it to him yet.

Dean fidgeted, all too aware of the silence that was growing between. this was all wrong. usually he revelled in the moments where, clearly, nothing needed to be said because they knew each other well. Tala and Dean. Dean and Tala.

when did that comfort cease to exist?

Dean stood up, running a hand through his hair before turning to her.

"well, you should leave. s’gettin’ late."

Tala bites her lip to keep from frowning, glancing in the direction of the door for a split second before she moves-further into the room.

"…I don’t want to leave yet,Dean." Her voice is soft, and she feels like she’s almost begging him to let her stay and just be there with him, or to let her try to figure out a way to break him out so they could run and he could be safe and out of this place-she almost feared it was going to drive him mad.

She hesitates, but nods. “Sounds like the best solution.” Despite the fact she lived there for a long time-if she was correct on where Rani had come from-and he had found her.

Though that might have had something to do with the fact that an interaction with a stranger landed them all in the Town’s Square, resulting in panic and ‘The Princess has returned!’

"Let’s go then," he held out his hand to her so he could quickly take her to the portal.
